The sound of a pianist interpreting the first movement of Beethoven's last sonata, Opus 111, composed in 1822. The piano was prepared so that only the lowest notes and vibrations of the instrument are perceived. One of the many stories around Beethoven’s deafness mentions a wooden hearing aid for bone conduction - vibration - designed and used by the composer in order to listen to music. Experts deny this hearsay.
